In-Town Rides
Getting around Edson safely and reliably
Appointments. Groceries. Visiting friends. Everyday needs.
Our In-Town Ride service helps older adults and individuals with mobility or cognitive challenges get where they need to go safely and comfortably.
This is door-through-door service.
We don’t just pick you up.
We help you from your door to your destination and back again.
In-Town Ride Eligibility
- Edson residents aged 55 and older
- Edson residents under 54 with mobility and/or cognitive challenges
In-Town Ride Hours of Operation
- Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 8:30 am to 5:30 pm
- Tuesday, Thursday: 8:30 am to 4:00 pm
- Saturday and Sunday: 9:00 am to 3:00 pm
- Closed on all statutory holidays
In-Town Ride Fees
- Annual Membership: $30 per calendar year
- Member Single Ride: $4 per one-way trip
- Member 10-Ride Pass: $40
- Non-Member Ride: $6 per one-way trip
Support persons may accompany riders at no charge when required for safety or assistance.

Transportation for groups, events, and community needs
We also provide accessible transportation for community groups, organizations, and events.
From local outings to special trips, we offer safe, professional service using the same accessible vehicles and trained drivers our clients trust every day.
Private group trips, corporate outings, weddings, sports teams, school groups, community events, day and overnight trips, conferences, anniversaries, family reunions, and accessible group transportation of any kind.
Out-of-Town Medical Transportation (NET Program)
Getting to medical care when there are no other options
Some appointments can’t happen in Edson.
And getting there shouldn’t be your responsibility alone.
Our NET Program provides safe, door-through-door transportation to medical appointments in:
- Hinton
- Whitecourt
- Mayerthorpe
- Edmonton and surrounding areas
Because getting to care should never depend on whether you have a ride.
NET Program Details
- Available to Edson residents aged 65 and older
- Sliding fee scale based on verified income
- Support persons may accompany clients at no charge
