NOURISH

Good Food, on your terms.

A program of Moving Edson & Area

Groceries, without the hard part

NOURISH helps adults 55 and older who live in the Town of Edson get good food home. It starts with Grocery Helper. Heat & Eat Meals and Cook Along Kits follow in 2027.

Our drivers made more than 780 grocery trips this year with riders 55 and older. NOURISH builds on that, with the drivers Edson has trusted for years.

Everyone pays something, and a lower fee is available based on household income.

Grocery Helper

We bring them to you, from $4. You order and pay in the Walmart app or the PC Express app (Your Independent Grocer). Our driver picks up your order and brings it to your door on Wednesday or Friday. Never ordered online? We can help you learn the app. Sign up now. First deliveries in November.

We shop with you, from $6. A trained volunteer rides with you to Sobeys in a Moving Edson & Area vehicle, shops beside you and helps carry your groceries in. Starts November 30. Spaces are limited each week, so trips are booked ahead.

No tip. Subsidies based on household income.

Volunteer with NOURISH

Have an hour and a half to spare? Shop With Me volunteers ride along to Sobeys and help an older neighbour with their groceries. Shifts are 1.5 hours on Wednesdays, and training is provided. Volunteers working one on one with clients need a criminal record check and a vulnerable sector check.
